Aspreys Christmas Window

We created these beautiful acrylic spheres cemented vertically together for Aspreys Christmas windows. Each joint was filled and sanded so as to make it completely invisible to the eye and to the touch.We had the units sprayed to a specific colour reference to match the theme of the window. Due to the high value of goods that were to be displayed and the weight of these products, the spheres had to be tested to almost destruction to ensure that they could handle the pressure and weight and not crack. We conducted our own in-house “not very scientific” tests by standing on the spheres once they had been made.
