Butlins Frosted Spheres

For a revamp at a Butlins swimming pool, we created a series of frosted acrylic spheres that were suspended from 2mm stainless steel cables fixed to the ceiling trusses. In each line, there were differing sizes hanging at predetermined distances creating an interesting public art piece in an otherwise uninteresting area of the building.Each sphere needed to be disassembled to allow the installation team access to the inside so we screwed the spheres together with clear acrylic bands held together with clear polycarbonate screws.
