Talbot Designs appointed as UK & Ireland agents for Jungbecker prismatic luminaire panels

Talbot Designs, the specialist plastics manufacturers, have been appointed as the reseller for the UK and Ireland for Jungbecker DE’s prismatic panels for luminaire applications.

Jungbecker lense array The panels, available in acrylic or polycarbonate, are conical de-glaring diffusers for use in commercial office luminaires. Talbot Designs can cut to order and because the London-based firm will hold quantities of stock product, turnaround for most deliveries will be swift.

The increasing interest in using refractor based office lighting as a reaction against specular cut-off louvres that create unpleasant shadows will open up many opportunities for Jungbecker.

The complex prismatic pattern breaks up lamp image and provides glare free lighting to meet current VDU standards. Transmission efficiency is high – around 90% - which assists in creating luminaires with high Light Output Ratios to meet the stringent Part L energy standards.

Combined with other lighting elements and the correct luminaire and office layout design, the Jungbecker panels will help to meet the CIBSE LG7 standard for office lighting.
