Display domes have various uses that can benefit your business. Whether you want to use them as a marketing tool, a security measure, or as a unique furnishing, their application will guarantee business growth.
There are two main types of plastic; thermoset and thermoplastic, the latter being the softer material, which makes it the perfect application for vacuum forming.
A lot of plastic products that you come across in your day-to-day life will have been made via the process of vacuum forming. This simple plastic fabrication technique comes hand-in-hand with a number of advantages and it has become an increasingly popular technique in a wide range of different industries.
In your day to day activities, you are surrounded by products that are the result of plastic fabrication. Plastic fabrication is readily used for various types of items and is now more frequently used compared to the likes of glass or metal.
Acrylic and polycarbonate are often recognised as direct competitors, due to their similar appearance and both being a popular choice of the material when it comes to manufacturing domes.
Acrylic is known around the globe for its durable and well-made structure. It, in fact, outranks polycarbonate in terms of its ability to withhold heavy loads, though it is not as impact resistant. Actually, it is an excellent substitute for glass and can be found to be up to 17 times as durable as traditional glass.
Spare a moment to look around in your day-to-day life and, the chances are, you will notice quite a lot of items that are constructed from plastic. This robust and durable material has changed the world in so many different ways and the process of acrylic fabrication is now used to create an almost infinite number of different products – from the plastic bottle you drank from at breakfast to the keyboard you are typing on right now. It might be a technical-sounding term, but in reality, acrylic fabrication is a fairly simple process and it can be used to make just about everything.
Vacuum forming is one of those things that you’ve probably heard of, but you’re not really sure what it is or how it works. Yet look around in your daily life, and we guarantee, you will see vacuum formed products everywhere. From the traffic light housing you see on your way to work to the plastic bottle you drink from at lunch, these products are all made using a simple vacuum forming process. It is one of the most diverse and versatile plastic fabrication techniques on the market – transforming a single sheet of plastic into just about anything you could possibly want or need.

BLOOMBERG PROJECT – As experts in our field, we were called in to assess and repair some large water tanks at the Bloomberg Project site in the city. Our team spent over a week inside the tanks, cleaning, filling, buffing, polishing, sanding and generally making the tanks fit for use. The challenge was that the tanks had some very deep lensing effect depressions and we needed to enlarge these depressions to reduce the lens effect without jeopardising the integrity of the tanks. Our team worked professionally throughout the whole project and the client who had very exacting standards said that we had showcased the work well and portrayed the company in a very professional manner. Nothing less than we always expect.
